Frank Abagno, who is under the age of 18 , was hit hard by the divorce of his parents, and lonely and sadly started the business of forging checks to defraud cash. He succeeded time and time again, writing blank checks totaling $6 million in 50 U.S. states and 28 countries around the world, becoming the youngest criminal on the U.S. most wanted list over the years. Soon after, he pretended to be a pilot again, using it to take a high-class plane and stay in a high-class hotel.
After that, he used a fake Harvard medical degree certificate to become an emergency doctor in a hospital in Georgia. There, he soon fell in love with a caregiver named Brenda, and then Frank followed his girlfriend to her hometown of New Orleans. Breda's father, a prosecutor , heard that Frank graduated from the University of California, Berkeley Law Department. He was very happy that his daughter had found such a boyfriend, so he arranged him to be an assistant to the prosecutor. Frank Abagno is also satisfied with his current career. Just when he was trying to get Louisiana's legal qualification exam through his own efforts, the persistent FBI investigator Carl Hanratitook the spotlight . Fortunately, Frank always used the law to protect himself before Karl Hanrati, and used the phone and postcards to tease Karl again and again. What’s interesting is that although Frank and Carl don’t admit it, they are surprisingly similar: Both like to spend a lonely Christmas on the phone, are very distant from their families, and both seem to like it. A game of chasing and being chased. Carl sympathized with Frank and committed so many crimes, and he was not yet 20 years old at the time, but Carl could not bear being teased by him again and again. In the end, the Jr. Frank Abagno failed to escape the law, but the way he escaped the FBI’s hunt time and time again has been talked about by people.

Catch Me If You Can quotes

  • Frank Abagnale, Jr.: [donning a James Bond style suit and mimicking Sean Connery in the mirror] Hello, Pussy.

  • Assistant Director Marsh: [Carl and Mr. Marsh are visiting Frank in prison; Carl hopes to convince the FBI to let Frank out of prison] I'd like for you to take a look at something, tell me what you think.

Frank Abagnale, Jr.: [Marsh hands Frank a fake check as Carl looks on] It's a fake.

Assistant Director Marsh: How do you know? You haven't looked at it.

Frank Abagnale, Jr.: There's no perforated edge, right? This check was hand-cut, not fed. The paper's double-bonded, much too heavy to be a bank check. Magnetic ink, it's raised against my fingers, not flat. This doesn't smell like MICR, it's some kind of, uh, some kind of drafting ink. The kind you get at a stationery store.

Assistant Director Marsh: Frank, would you be interested in working for the FBI's Financial Crimes Unit?

Frank Abagnale, Jr.: I've already got a job here, you know. I, uh, deliver the mail.

Assistant Director Marsh: Frank, we have the power to take you out of prison. You'd be placed in the custody of the FBI where you'd serve out the remainder of your sentence as an employee of the Federal Government.

Frank Abagnale, Jr.: Under whose custody?

    [Carl raises his hand]
