Maxwas prosecuted for rape. He brought in lawyer Samto defend himself; what he didn't know was that Sam was a feminist. Out of righteous indignation, Sam deliberately concealed a piece of evidence that was beneficial to Max during his defense, which eventually resulted in Max being sentenced to six more years. Max, who didn't know the law, discovered Sam's betrayal of him in prison through self-study of law, and vowed to seek revenge on Sam.
In a flash, 14 years later, Max was released after serving his sentence, and he began his revenge plan. He first appeared near Sam's house, causing them to panic; then, the people Sam sent to deal with him were beaten up by him; he sneaked into Sam's house and killed the bodyguard and cook. The panicked Sam's family fled to a place called "Corner of Terror," and Max followed suit.

Even if the lawyer deliberately conceals it, the guilty is still guilty, and the wicked is the wicked, but the wicked also has the right to defense. This is also the issue discussed in "Lincoln's Lawyer". This focus is on revenge. Pure commercial skin, but the pace is too slow for commercial films.

As a top movie fan, Ma remakes Thompson's movie, and his style pays tribute to Hitchcock. De Niro has played the most powerful role, without the mental and language shaping. De Niro's sturdy limbs and strong muscles have been pressing on the screen, giving people a sense of rapid pressure. The repeated emphasis on letter tattoos seems to have been affected by "Hunter Night". Acting as a murderer who thinks of a martyr is simply a barrier that must be crossed to lead to the gods’ acting skills.

Cape Fear quotes

  • Max Cady: I'm Virgil and I'm guidin' you through the gates of Hell. We are now in the Ninth Circle, the Circle of Traitors. Traitors to country! Traitors to fellow man! Traitors to GOD! You, sir, are charged with betrayin' the principles of all three! Quote for me the American Bar Association's Rules of Professional Conduct, Canon Seven.

Sam Bowden: "A lawyer should represent his client... "

Max Cady: "Should ZEALOUSLY represent his client within the bounds of the law." I find you guilty, counselor! Guilty of betrayin' your fellow man! Guilty of betrayin' your country and abrogatin' your oath! Guilty of judgin' me and sellin' me out! With the power vested in me by the kingdom of God, I sentence you to the Ninth Circle of Hell! Now you will learn about loss! Loss of freedom! Loss of humanity! Now you and I will truly be the same...

  • Max Cady: You ready to be born again, Miss Bowden?
