"Light and Spirit" obviously wanted to create a modern social version of "World of Warcraft" or "Lord of the Rings". During the period, it was interspersed with innuendo and accountability of racial discrimination, separatism of evil forces, official corruption, etc., but it took more than an hour. The film length can't hold up such a grand and profound theme, so it can only be unfinished. But if it is the first part of a series, it is not difficult to understand the plot of "Light and Spirit".
"Light and Spirit" juxtaposes the arduous police life, crime, modern life and the imaginary magical world, with the intention of creating a unique and vibrant world. But everything is unnatural, unreliable, and most of them are ridiculous.
This work from the director of "Suicide Squad" and the screenwriter of "Victor Frankstein" is simply horrible, creating a new low in their careers. "Guang Ling" is a dull, copycat and bad film. It seems to be made only to make the two previous failures look less bad.
