Boy A evaluation action

"Boy A" is a mediocre movie, so simple and even without any color, this kind of "mental black and white" can also be shocking. The director talked about it like a bedside story to a child. There was a subtle sweetness, and there was also a glimmer of sunshine and subtle hope. But in the end, everything went to ruin, plain, simple, and confused. In the film, the director conducts a discussion that transcends humanity and emotion. People always hide the most primitive fear and distrust of human beings. This is human instinct. Therefore, in the face of repeated tragedies, they are still confused and helpless.
I have to say that the cooperation between the director and the screenwriter has reached perfection. The screenwriter finely separates the fragmented emotions in the original work, peels off the cocoon layer by layer, and then enlarges them one by one through special techniques. Then the director magically controls the overall emotional burst, and reconciles the hero Andrew Garfield's commendable performance. It can be said that this film has been perfect in all aspects. "Boy A" is usually shy and sensitive, kind and curious about everything, carefully hiding the shadow of his past. Andrew Garfield portrays this complicated character without revealing a trace, and his unpretentious performance makes people moved. This kind of performance allows the audience to follow the film to experience the innocent human nature of "Boy A" and the completely different mental transitions at each stage. At the same time, it is this characterization that makes the ending of the film more heartache and shocking   .

Missed childhood, powerless new life. The trauma of the family ended in the death of both children.

If it's filming, it's good except that the ending looks too much like a sports commercial~

Boy A quotes

  • Jack Burridge: Jack.

    Terry: What?

Jack Burridge: That's the name I want.

    Terry: [slowly] Okay...

    Jack Burridge: Jack.

Terry: Well, that's the first thing taken care of.

  • Michelle: [showing her breasts posing for Jack's photograph] What?

Jack Burridge: [laughing] You're fucking nuts. Carry on. Keep going! Keep going! Keep going!
