Rehart, played by Ron Pullman, always wears sunglasses in the film.
During the filming of the vampire autopsy scene, ultraviolet light once caused more than 30 cast and crew members to be temporarily blinded.
Stephen Norrington, the director of the first part of "Blade Warrior", refused to direct the film because of his appointment.
The screenwriter David S. Goyer initially planned to make the vampire Devil Bes the villain in the film, but Marvel Comics wanted to make a movie featuring Devil Bess as the main character, so he retained the ownership, and Goyer had to use Chadno. Ma replaced it.
In the "Blade Warrior" trilogy, only this film has the original ending, and the other two have been remade.
Michael Jackson had planned to play the role of a vampire pimp in the film.
