Birds of Prey evaluation action

"Birds of Prey and Harley Quinn" is extremely fast-paced, with a dry, completely unemotional sense of humor, ignoring cliché moral standards, and without heavy preaching.
The film is a dazzling R-rated film. It draws inspiration from completely different movies such as "Nine to Five", "Bunny Bugs", "Spy Girl Jade Dragon" and other completely different films to create an adventure with familiar genre elements. It is another carnival of anarchism and wit.
The film director Yan Yuqian made the Raptor squad fiercely fly high, and the action scenes filmed have a clever sense of detonating visual space, and most importantly, it will make the audience excited.
"Birds of Prey and Harley Quinn" is not so much a movie as it is a fashion statement. It is a gorgeous and sweet farce full of voice-overs, subtitles, freeze-frames, flashbacks , Animation episodes and fighting scenes, and these can basically be called MVs.
As an R-rated comedy, the whole movie still has an improvement over the previous DC works in the action scene. There are a lot of slow motion interspersed in the fight, the freeze frame that appears from time to time, and the fourth wall is constantly broken. Dialogue with the audience, as well as through surreal battle scenes, and cartoonized violent scenes, the collage of various elements supplemented with rich colors, makes this movie still attractive enough in terms of visual effects.
Of course, the soul of the whole movie is still the role of Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie. She relies entirely on her performance to give the chaotic Harley Quinn an alternative attraction, a kind of extremely strong Irony and overwhelming power of control. As the protagonist who has the most drama in the film and runs through it, the character's inherent charm and bizarre behavior pattern have been maximized. In every scene where she appears, it is difficult for the audience to look elsewhere.

The timeline of this script is skipped, and the plot is also very scattered. It feels like all the things to be talked about are taken apart and then put together casually. The early dialogue has little information and is relatively boring. All the informative parts are Harley Quinn. The voice-over monologue. There are many shots that break the fourth wall. All the modes in the first half are very similar to Deadpool, many freeze-frames and slow motions. The costume soundtrack is pretty good. The whole movie is similar to the state shown in the trailer. The color is very rich. Comedy effects and R-rated action scenes are added. The reason for not making a cool movie should be due to editing, which led to the play. The movements are not very coherent. Overall, compared to the suicide squad, it is indeed much better, but the role modeling is still quite one-sided, and there is no trend of deep digging. If it is not supported by Margot Robbie's acting skills, the probability will be very cold. The mask is a bit unexpected. Although there are not many scenes and the final method of death is also very casual, the characters' personalities and everything are acted very clearly, which can be regarded as making up for the regret of the absence of some clowns.

Birds of Prey quotes

  • The Huntress: [after agreeing to team up with Harley] But we are going to need some serious hardware.

[Harley walks over to a cupboard and opens it with a flourish]

    Harley Quinn: Will... this do?

    [They stare inside]

    The Huntress: No.

    Dinah Lance: Not at all.

[Harley turns, sees the cupboard is completely empty, and gasps]

Renee Montoya: We're dead. We're fucking dead.

Harley Quinn: That slimy jizz-nozzle, I can't believe he took it all! *Fuck*!

  • Happy: There she is... Harley Quinn.

    Harley Quinn: Yeah?

Happy: I've waited a long time for this.

Harley Quinn: You have? Oh... I haven't had breakfast yet! What did I do to you?

Happy: Are you serious? Look at my face.

    [shouts]

    Happy: Look at my face!

[Super: "NAME: HAPPY; GRIEVANCE: COSMETIC VANDALISM"; flashback to the Joker tattooing a clown pattern onto a screaming Happy's face while Harley watches, laughing]

Harley Quinn: [remembering] Oh... that wasn't me!

Happy: But you dared him to do it!

Harley Quinn: Yeah, but I dare a lot of people to do a lot of things!
