Craigis a poor and depressed puppet show actor. Due to life's pressure, he gave up the puppet show and applied for a small company as an archivist with his flexible fingers. Strangely, this company is located on the seventh and a half of an office building. The entire seven-and-a-half-half ceiling was so low that all the employees of the company had to walk with their backs hunched. Craig is infatuated with his charming company colleague Maxine, but Maxine has no interest in him. One day, Craig accidentally found a hidden door behind the office cabinet. He got in curiously and was surprised to find that the long passage led to the brain of the famous actor John Malkovich. And can experience everything he does through Markovic's sight. But this process can only last for fifteen minutes. Once the time passed, Craig popped out of Markovic's brain and landed on the highway in New Jersey.
Craig tells his colleague Maxine and his wife Lottiehis adventure . After the two of them tried it, Maxine decided to use this as a way to make money, selling a ticket for $200, allowing everyone to experience the fifteen-minute "becoming a celebrity Markovic". After the opening, there was an endless stream of visitors. Lottie is addicted to the feeling of being Markovic. In order to get Maxine, Craig used his rich experience in manipulating Markovich's body for a long time, and thus revived the puppet industry. He married Maxine again, but Maxine did not love him. The sad Lottie went to Craig’s boss, Dr. Lester, for help, only to learn that Dr. Lester had already learned the secret of the secret door and had used it to reincarnate many times. In order to use Markovic's body for another reincarnation, Dr. Lester threatened Craig to leave Markovic's body. As a result, Craig had to leave Markovic’s body, but was forever lost in the life of being someone else.
