Captain Chris, a capable and motivated young navy pilot, set out for his last mission before demobilization. When he and his teammate and friend Mike flew over Bosnia and took pictures on the ground as usual, they were shot down. While Chris was sending out a call for help, Mike was killed by a secret Serb military leader. Chris fled in an unfamiliar land, trying to get close to the place of salvation. On the way, he inadvertently found a large cemetery of the Muslim people who were slaughtered by the Serbs. He realized that he and Mike must have accidentally photographed this secret on the plane. This is the real reason why they were shot down and Mike was murdered.
The US military commander, Admiral Riggett, wanted to do everything possible to save Chris, but was obstructed by the NATO commander out of political considerations. As time passed and Chris' situation became more and more critical, Riggett decided to make a desperate move.

    Good-looking, better than "Private Ryan"

There's not the slightest bit of sparkle. A film that promotes American human rights and individual heroism. Owen Wilson is uglier than Tom in Top Gun! The actor's performance is like playing a house. He doesn't fit into the character, he just recites the lines with a dull face, and looks at the male lead's awkward nose. He has no desire at all. Fast forward, fast forward, fast forward, and finally finished. . Free.

Behind Enemy Lines quotes

  • [Last lines]

Chris Burnett: [Aboard the helicopter after the rescue mission] Hey, Admiral! You're holding a letter for me. I'd like to have it back!

Admiral Reigart: I think I can find it!

[Reigart hands Burnett the letter. Burnett then crumples the letter, which had stated his intent of leaving the Navy. The rest of the crew look on happily and amused. The song 'Rescue Blues' by Ryan Adams fades in]

  • Chris Burnett: [to Reigart over the radio] Sir, I shouldn't have left Stackhouse.
