Basic Instinct 2 Basic Instinct2: The background of fatal temptation

" Basic Instinct " in 1993 made the name Sharon Stone closely linked with "the sexiest woman in the world". In 1994, producer Alan Marshall intended to continue to collaborate with Sharon Stone to film a sequel, but Sharon Stone refused his request. Paul van Hoeven, the director of "Basic Instinct", also didn't agree. The film became a hot potato for a while, and nobody cares about it, and MGM terminated the film's shooting plan.
The first draft of the film's script was formed in 2000. The story is considered to be a typical sequel movie style, with suspense as its natural color and thriller as its supplement, allowing Catherine to continue to walk between sex and death. After some weighing, MGM executives relentlessly vetoed the original script. The second draft of the film is also very good, but considering the character of the characters in the first episode, this script becomes completely nonsensical, excluding the essence of the original. The second draft script was also discarded. It was not until 2003 that the revised script was finally finalized. The final script retains Catherine’s original character and fine-tunes it according to her age. In addition, the location of the story has jumped from San Francisco to London. The man who followed her has also become a younger lover, allowing Catherine to act. The style has also been adjusted in due course.
