"Cold City" is an original Cold War movie full of action scenes and wonderful story details. From beginning to end, the audience sits on the edge of the chair and makes guesses. The film is the same as the spy thriller. Although the plot is intricate, but not confusing, the details revealed are just right. The audience may think that they guessed the plot development, but the actual story development is constantly unexpected.

The visual effects of "Cold City" are almost out of the screen. The director always amplifies the amazing part of Charlize Theron's role intermittently. She can convey the whole emotional world with a simple movement of her eyes.
The plot of the film is slightly weak, but the commendable hand-to-hand combat scenes are unbelievable, and the music and Cold War themes of the 1980s are also very special.
If "Cold City" ignores the retro soundtrack, nostalgic neon background and awesome female fighting scenes, this movie is generally more mediocre than the "007" series of movies.
