In Paris in the late 1880s, Van Goghplayed bywas an independent artist who was excluded from the art world. His art dealer brother Theocannot sell his works, and people are not interested in the works hanging in crowded cafes. Only Gauguindid not pursue the mainstream Parisian artists. He had a hidden appreciation for Van Gogh's paintings. Van Gogh longed to leave the gray sky and fog, hoping to see the sun and the air. Almost penniless, he moved to the small town of Arles in southern France, where he spent a harsh winter. He rented a yellow house and began to immerse himself in the natural world
. Even though his works were not received, Van Gogh continued to create under pressure, and was eventually imprisoned in a mental hospital due to frequent mental breakdowns
