Aquamarine Creative background

The film "Aquamarine" is adapted from the novel of the same name by the well-known female author Alice Hoffman . Her previous works on the big screen include ""And" Here on Earth ". The Fox 2000 film company, which owns the copyright of Hoffman’s work, approached the director Elizabeth Allen with the first draft of the novel and script. Although Allen had never directed a feature film, Fox 2000 was impressed by her award-winning short film "Eyeball Eddie" and had long been interested. Cooperating with him, and "Aquamarine" is exactly what inspired Allen's creation.
Former Fox Films Production Supervisor Susan Cartersons was also attracted by the film’s script. She has always had a soft spot for movies that focus on autonomous women. She was passionate about " The Truth about Cats and dogs " and Films such as " Buffy the Vampire Slayer " were later produced " Where the Heart Is " and " What Women Want ". The theme of "Aquamarine" is very close to Susan's heart, and it has the potential to positively influence young women
