Documentary director Todd Douglas Miller led the production team to work closely with NASA and the National Archives to collect all the documentary clips of the 50 years since Apollo 11 landed on the moon. During the collection process, the production team found for the first time an unexposed 70mm segment and more than 11,000 hours of dialogue recordings that recorded the entire moon landing mission. The production team digitally repaired these images with a resolution of up to 8K, and presented Apollo 11's journey to the moon with high-definition pixels
