"Interstellar Exploration" started shooting on July 17, 2017. Director James Gray modified the original ending of the film in order to give the big studio the green light to invest. The filming location of the film includes an abandoned department store in the center of Los Angeles. The underground of the store was where the former Red Line train station terminal was located.
