In 1986, Mary Colvin began her career as a war correspondent, reporting on the front lines of combat concentrated areas in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria.
In April 2001, Mary Colvin was interviewing the Civil War in Sri Lanka. At that time, the Sri Lankan government banned foreign media from entering the northern Tamil region controlled by the rebels. Mary Colvin broke the ban and broke into the restricted area without permission for interviews. When returning to the central government control area, a Sri Lankan government soldier fired a howitzer. The attack resulted in injuries and loss of vision in his left eye and deafness in his left ear.
On February 22, 2012, when the Syrian government army shelled Homs, a French photographer was injured and killed. She was 56 years old. She was engaged in news reporting on the front lines of the war for 30 years   .

The biopic has a strong political inclination, which makes people feel that it is far from the original intention of Marie to focus on the common people. The subject matter is ambiguous, the editing is confusing, and the only bright spot is Pike Chunhua.

Saddam's mass graves, hypocritical Gaddafi, Syria's sins, and Pike Chunhua's nudity. When the director filmed "The Land of Drug Trafficking", he exposed Mexico quite sharply. When he came to his own country, he covered it up very skillfully, and made the deeds of the female war correspondent into an American whitewashing film. 6.1 points

I suppose to look back at it and say, you know, I cared enough to go to these places and write, in some way, something that would make, uh, someone else care as much about it as I did at the time. Part of it is you're never gonna get to where you're going if you acknowledge fear. I think fear comes later,

    [realization chuckle]

Marie Colvin: when it's all over.
