During the filming of Ludovico, the lead actor Malcolm McDowell scratched one of his eyes and became temporarily blind. During the filming of the shameful stage performance, his rib unfortunately broke. In the sink scene, he nearly drowned when he was underwater due to a malfunction of his breathing equipment.
When Stanley Kubrick discovered that Malcolm McDowell was afraid of reptiles, he decided to add a snake to the movie.
Kubrick insisted that the milk in the bottle be emptied every hour, cleaned and then refilled (the milk coagulated under the light of the studio).
After the author created Alex, Stanley Kubrick deliberately made some consecutive mistakes in the film. Between different shots, the plates on the table are constantly moving, and the volume of wine in the glass is always changing. The purpose is to confuse the audience when watching the film.
While whipping and binding the writer and his wife, Alex danced while singing "Singing in the Rain", which is not in the script. Stanley Kubrick spent four days reviewing this scene, and he always found it to be too standard. Later, he contacted Malcolm McDowell and asked if he would dance. They tried to shoot again, and this time McDowell improved. He sang and danced. Kubrick was completely fascinated. He and McDowell drove home, at home, and he quickly bought the copyright to the song "Singing in the Rain" for $10,000.
According to an interview with Malcolm McDowell, as an actor, he often inspired director Stanley Kubrick during the filming process. In their spare time, the two of them often play billiards in order to kill time (this sport also appeared in Kubrick's early film "Lolita"). Later, McDowell was very upset about this, because he lost a lot of salary when playing these games.
Stanley Kubrick asked Pink Floyd if he would use their "Atom Heart Mother Suite" in movie music. Since Kubrick wanted unrestricted permission, it was up to him to decide which part of the song to use or edit. The band refused. When Alex walked into the video store, the cover on the shelf was "Atom Heart Mothe".
Director guest appearance: (Stanley Kubrick) When Alex walked into the video store, the person reading the magazine on the right side of the screen turned his back to the camera.
The film was remade many times, even changed actors, and it took a year and a half to complete. Many actors who had been vying to film with Stanley Kubrick declared after the filming that they would never work with him again because his requirements were too high.
The vinyl cover of the audiovisual store: When Alex was talking to the clerk in the audiovisual store, the top one in the stack of albums on his right was obviously another work directed by Kubrick a few years ago. The cover of "2001: A Space Odyssey."
