The most valuable thing about "8 Miles" is that the director did not evade the cruel reality of the rap world. He left the power of judgment to the audience and let the audience make their own value judgments.  
No matter where we live, no matter who we are, each of us is surrounded by boundaries. Some of these boundaries are real, and some may be just imagination. Some people are content to live within these boundaries, others have to do so. But there are still some people who want to break through these boundaries. Even if the other side is completely unknown, what "8 Miles" shows is a group of people who want to break through these boundaries. They have fierce, rough, and real street emotions, so "8 "Miles" is not pure, not elegant, but beautiful.
